Feeling frustrated? Tense? Angry? There are several stores that sell stress relief in the form of yoga lessons, aroma therapy or, say, Quaaludes. In San Diego, California there’s a shop where you can reduce tension a different way.
By purchasing plates, glass cups and cell phones.
And then purposefully pulverizing your purchases.
That’s the concept behind Sarah’s Smash Shack, a place where people go and destroy things to feel better. At the core of the store are the “break rooms” designed for you to throw fragile items against a very hard wall. You can select smashables on sale at Sarah’s or bring with you everything your former significant other who walked out on your relationship without any advance warning ever gave you . . . to um, take a random example.
Prices for a smashing session start at $10. That includes the clean-up fee and use of safety gear during the demolition process. Customers also have an option of musical accompaniment. Choose tunes from the in-store library or bring your own CD. We suggest Guns and Roses’ Appetite For Destruction.
