Do you always buy the latest gadget? Do you own a blog? Do you use Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter, Pinterest or Yahoo email? Do you have multiple online accounts? And if so, do you combine them all on MyLife.net?
Your answers to questions such as those can say a lot about how you travel. Or, so claims Expedia. The folks at the popular travel booking engine, being both technologically savvy and active on social media, have noticed that travelers of certain types tend to make similar choices around how they use the internet and how they shop for consumer electronics. They’ve put their findings into a handy flow chart that you can use to determine what kind of traveler you supposedly are. See it in the infographic after the jump.
The infographic’s flow chart starts out with the question “Are you a smartphone user?” That seems to us like an outdated question. These days most people (and virtually every reader of this travel blog) would answer yes. But thereafter the questions get more interesting.
For what it’s worth, Spot Cool Stuff works out to be an “Elitist” traveler. We aren’t keen on that label, but the description fits us well enough.
What kind of traveler did you turn out to be? Feel free to share that — and thoughts on the connection between how you travel and how you use technology and social media — in a comment below.
