If you are heading to the Napa Valley or Bordeaux or the wineries of around Cape Town, or perhaps you are going to a picnic or outdoor concert, here are some ways for transporting and chilling your wine Spot Cool Stuff style:
For packing wine in your luggage, the Wine Skin is a strong bottle-shaped sleeve made of reinforced bubble wrap. At the top of the sleeve there are two seals that help prevent any liquid from spilling out should your bottle break. Which it shouldn’t—the Wine Skin can absorb a lot of shock. The Wine Skin takes up very little space (and weight) on their own and is also great for shipping wine.
While the Wine Skin is for putting bottles inside your luggage, the BottleWise is lugge. Inside the BottleWise carrying case are two liquid-tight padded pouches that are each perfectly sized for 750ml of your favorite vintage. The BottleWise can be checked onto an airplane, but Spot Cool Stuff uses ours mostly for carrying wine to outdoor events.
And at those outdoor events, add a surprise touch of sophistication with an inflatable wine bucket. Each holds two bottles of wine and looks like a real glass wine bucket from a distance . . . if you squint.
Cheers!
