For staying clean on a roughing-it trip there’s no better friend than magic soap.
Technically called “Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap,” this amazing product has 18 prescribed uses (including deodorant, shampoo, mouth wash and massage oil) that you can read about on the surreal and rambling label. But magic soap is at its best when used for washing clothes or washing yourself. This soap doesn’t have to be rinsed off entirely. Rub some on yourself, or your clothes, splash on some water and you are good to go. Or, at least clean enough not to offend anyone.
Dr. Bonner’s comes in a variety of scents. We are partial to the almond, through the peppermint has its charms.
