Thank you, dear readers, for making 2009 a wonderful year for travel on Spot Cool Stuff!
2010 will be further filled with amazing trips, insider tips and unusual travel tidbits. But before planning our next adventure a look back on the travel blog posts of the year past:
In 2010 we’ll be reviewing low cost, high quality safari lodges in South Africa. For a more pampered experience check out these luxurious digs that blend smartly with their surrounding animal habitats.
After months of comparison testing the Canon EOS-5D Mark II won our vote for the best overall travel camera. But different travelers have different needs, budgets and levels of photography skills, so we included “best of” camera selection for a variety of types of travel photographers.
There must be a lot of bibliophiles in Spot Cool Stuff Land—our review of the world’s bookstores was our most popular travel post in 2009. In 2010 we’ll tap into that same love of books with a look at the world’s coolest libraries.
Oh the Places You’ll Go if you let the illustrations of children’s author Dr. Seuss be your inspiration for finding amazing trees, landscapes and architecture.
Coming in 2010
A selection of inexpensive Caribbean destinations and affordable Zanzibar accommodations will kick off another year of posts filled with high value travel ideas. Look for our monthly travel deals and discounts too.
Some other posts in the works:
• Destinations where you can swim in warm water and ski on snow—in the same day.
• Don’t want to ski on snow? We’ll list some cool (and perhaps surprising) alternative surfaces you can go downhill skiing on.
• A visit to communist-themed attractions in capitalist countries.
